Hertha Berlin’s Hungarian goalkeeping coach Zsolt Petry’s statements about homosexuality caused a crisis in Hungary.
RB Leipzig’s Hungarian goalkeeper, Peter Gulacsi, previously condemned a law in Hungary that prohibits adoption of same-sex couples.
Gulacsi, the 30-year-old goalkeeper of the Hungarian national team, said “Everyone has the right to equality” , using the hashtag ‘acsaládazcsalád (Family is family) on Facebook. “ Likewise, every child has the right to grow up in a happy family of any gender, color, any religion.”
CRITICIZED THE CITIZEN
Hungarian Zsolt Petry, the Hertha Berlin goalkeeper coach, criticized his compatriot Gulacsi’s statements. In an interview with the newspaper Magyar Nemzet, Petry said “I do not understand how Europe is about to collapse morally and where this interest and relevance of Gulacsi came from” .
