Thousands of citizens, who spent their holidays in their hometowns or in other interesting cities due to the Eid al-Adha, were stuck in traffic in Kırıkkale, a key crossroad of 43 provinces. Traffic started in the evening and continued until midnight. On the Samsun-Ankara, Kırıkkale-Kayseri highway, vehicles were able to move from bumper to bumper. The resulting traffic density was viewed from the air with a ‘drone’.
Traffic police teams affiliated to Kırıkkale Provincial Security Directorate continued their work feverishly with the measures they had taken against the density. While the teams tried to ease the traffic flow at the busy intersections, they warned the drivers to watch carefully. Some intersections were closed to traffic to ensure the flow of vehicles.
