Syrian refugees, whose number is approaching 4 million, are one of the hottest topics in politics.
Kılıçdaroğlu made statements that he would send Syrians back to their countries if they came to power; “I am calling out to the world, I come from the tradition of the National Forces, very tough negotiations are waiting for you,” he said.
MHP Geenel Chairperson Devlet Bahçeli said, “Kılıçdaroğlu g said that they will receive the financing needed from the EU to send Syrian immigrants to their homelands and that he was promised. What promise is this? How was this promise made, by what authority? The EU is working against Turkey. Collaborator It is an alliance of disgrace,” he had reacted harshly.
ERDOĞAN: POLITICS LEFT IN WHOM HANDS
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan harshly criticized Kılıçdaroğlu’s words and stated the following:
This man, who says ‘I am the party of Atatürk’, says ‘I come from the tradition of the Kuvayi Milliye,’ but for one thing he does not know about the spirit of the Kuvayi Milliye. He has to learn it. Because we sent soldiers all the way there. I recommend it to learn about Misakı Milli. Is the Misaki National? What does Misaki Milli cover? What was in that scope? One has to learn this. He doesn’t know about it. He says ‘I will send’. As long as we are in power in this country, we will not throw the servants of Allah who took refuge in us into the arms of murderers. I’m saying it so clearly. Right now, they have taken shelter in us, they are asking for ’employees’. We can’t say ‘Come back to where you came from’ to those who wish for this ’employee’.
According to UN rules, refugees can return home voluntarily, safely and with dignity. He doesn’t even know about it. If it is not voluntary, especially if the refugee has also applied for asylum, you cannot do such a thing anyway. Maybe you will have to accept it. How does he do politics, in whose hands is politics; we got burned.
FATHER: WE ARE REALISTIC
Kılıçdaroğlu also received an implicit response from DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan, with whom they had talks for the Nation Alliance.
Babacan said, “You know that if peace, stability and tranquility are not achieved in Syria, the Syrians here do not have a chance to go to Syria. Now, as we go to the elections, some parties will come out and say, ‘Vote for us, we will send all of them’. But what a humanitarian point of view. Nor will they be able to do it in terms of international law. We are realistic,” he said.
